A demonstration marches through central London in protest at the 7th May general election result. Protesters were unhappy about the small majority Tory win, claiming that as a large percentage of UK citizens did not vote, this does not give the conservatives a mandate. They also protested against an anticipated five years of austerity cuts. The riot police moved in in large numbers to clear Whitehall outside Downing Street after the demonstration ended there. 9th May 2015
