ATOS headquarters, London, UK, 19th February, 2014. People gather outside ATOS head office in London to protest the company’s implementation of Work Capability Assessments. Protesters say that ATOS workers with little or no medical knowledge make poor decisions which lead to people losing their sickness benefits, and demand that a qualified medical doctor, ideally the GP who regularly sees and treats the sick or disabled person in question, is the only person able to decide if an individual is fit for work.
A minute’s silence was held for those who have died since having their disability benefits revoked as a result of ATOS decisions.
