Protest outside British Gas Annual General Meeting, London UK
London, UK. 12th May, 2014. Mini wind turbines made from British Gas fuel bills are placed on the lawn outside as protesters gather at the British Gas Annual General Meeting at the QE2 building in Westminster. Pressure groups including Fuel Poverty Action claim that British Gas make huge profits by overcharging consumers which then pushes people who are less well off into fuel poverty – whereby a choice has to be made between heating and eating. They also opposed the production of “dirty energy” which comes from fossil fuels.
