During the RSPB's "Big Wild Sleepout" event I was lucky enough to camp out overnight at RSPB Rainham Marshes, a wildlife haven sandwiched between the Thames estuary and the post industrial wastelands of the M25. I loved how these medieval marshes which are thronged with wildlife exist side by side with railway tracks, the incessant noise from the enormous flyover on its northeast perimeter, and all overshadowed by fizzing pylons. This image was taken at 11 minutes past 5 on a beautiful summer dawn.
