Protesters in yellow and black swarm opposite the entrance to Downing Street before the Cabinet decides wether or not to allow neonicotinoid pesticides to be used on crops in the UK. Neonicotinoid pesticides are banned in Europe because of the danger to bees, which are major pollinators of food crops. They have been linked to a number of adverse ecological effects, including honey-bee colony collapse disorder
